JOB DESCRIPTION
Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 23 year old woman living in the Plasnewydd area of Cardiff with my parents. I was born in Romania and moved here in 2020. I have hydrocephalus, a hearing impairment and I am mute. I need support with a variety of tasks including helping me at the local community Centre, assistance to access the community and pursue my interests. We have a pet dog at home. I like to draw, play with plasticine and complete puzzles.
PURPOSE OF JOB
To help the access the community and community centres.
PLACE OF WORK
You will start in my home and then assist me to access the community.
HOURS OF WORK
I have 12 hours a week available but this may expand with time.
Monday -10am-4pm -to attend V21
Tuesday – 10am-2pm Send academy
Thursday – 1pm-3pm community support
RATES OF PAY
£14.75 an hour.
TASKS INVOLVED
Personal care and toileting needs.
Dressing, Undressing.
Meals and preparations.
Medication collection of prescriptions.
Social outings community activities.
Shopping.
Hospital appointments.
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
Romanian speaking (so you can liaise with my parents.)
Patient.
Reliable and punctual.
Honest and trustworthy.
Able to adapt.
Able to keep you safe.
ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
