The Role - Art Teacher (Temp to Perm)
- Deliver engaging, inclusive art lessons across key stages
- Support pupils with ASD and SEMH needs using a nurturing, trauma-informed approach
- Foster creativity, emotional regulation, and self-expression through visual arts
- Contribute to a well-resourced art department with access to diverse materials
- Collaborate with a warm, experienced team in a specialist setting
- Benefit from a high percentage of PPA time for planning and reflection
- Work under a proactive Headteacher who champions staff wellbeing and resources generously
- Uphold safeguarding standards with an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
The Art Department
The department is a dynamic, well-equipped space that encourages experimentation, sensory engagement, and pupil-led projects. Learners respond positively to tactile and visual experiences, and the arts play a central role in whole-school enrichment. You'll have the freedom to shape a curriculum that reflects your passions and the interests of your pupils. The Headteacher is exceptionally supportive - whether it's sourcing specialist materials, inviting visiting artists, or funding tailored CPD, your creativity will be backed.
Requirements
· QTS or QTLS
- Experience teaching Art in UK schools
- Confidence supporting pupils with ASD and SEMH needs
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
