Summary
The Deputy Regional Hospital Manager is the second-in-command for hospital operations within the region, supporting the Regional Hospital Manager in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality care while meeting financial and operational targets. The post holder will play a key role in strategic planning, operational oversight, people management, and clinical governance. They will deputise for the Regional Hospital Manager during periods of absence and hold delegated authority to make decisions on their behalf, ensuring continuity of leadership. This role requires strong leadership, commercial awareness, and a commitment to patient-centred care. The Deputy Regional Hospital Manager will act as a senior partner in shaping service delivery, driving performance, and supporting a culture of continuous improvement. Knowledge & Skills - Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. - Ability to deputise effectively and take responsibility in the absence of the Regional Hospital Manager. - Skilled in planning, prioritising, and managing resources to achieve results. - Strong problem-solving and analytical ability with attention to detail.
