Runcorn Docks | Paid Weekly | 8am-4.30pm | Temporary Ongoing (4-6 Months, possible extension) | Immediate Start

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is seeking a reliable Site Operative to join a busy mineral processing facility in Runcorn. The role involves safe operation of the site, supporting bulk material handling, and assisting with loading and administrative tasks.

Key Duties:

  • Operate the facility safely in line with legislation, company policies, and client sustainability standards.

  • Facilitate the discharge of incoming material.

  • Load or assist in loading collection vehicles, including operating loading equipment and completing administrative duties.

  • Induct and supervise new drivers to ensure safe operation of facilities and equipment.

  • Undertake daily, weekly, and monthly inspections, housekeeping duties, and preventative maintenance, recording and reporting results.

  • Occasionally assist the engineering team with maintenance and repairs within competency limits.

  • Inspect and maintain silos, including climbing stairs and working at height on fixed platforms and walkways.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

  • Proactive approach to health, safety, and wellbeing.

  • Understanding of process controls and bulk powder dispatching.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a positive, proactive attitude.

  • Professional communication skills and ability to work with different personalities.

  • Ability to work at height.

  • Computer literate, including Excel spreadsheets.

  • Previous similar experience required; full on-site training provided.
