Summary

Male Support Worker - Calm, Confident & Compassionate Support in ST16 (Stafford)

Location: ST16 - Stafford (Just a 7min Drive From County Hospital)
Hours: Full-Time - Long Day Shifts (7am-7am the following day, includes sleep-in)
Pay Rate: £12.35 per hour + £50 per sleep-in shift
Driver Requirement: Full Driving Licence

We're looking for a Male Support Worker to support a gentleman in his 30s with autism and learning disabilities. This is a 1:1 lone-working role, ideal for someone who is confident, empathetic, and experienced in supporting behaviours of distress.

Who Will You Be Supporting?

You'll be supporting a quiet, independent man who values his space and routine. He enjoys:

- Vacuuming - even making a mess just to clean it up again!

- Gardening

- Going for walks - staff follow at a respectful distance

- Train journeys to visit his parents every Tuesday in Wolverhampton

He's shy by nature and takes time to build trust, so patience and consistency are key.

Support Overview

Support Type: 1:1, lone working

Shift Pattern:

- Long Day: 7am-7am (includes sleep-in)

- Sleep-In: 10pm-7am (paid sleep)

Support Needs:

- No personal care, hoists, or wheelchair use

- Meal prep and medication administration required

- Calm and confident approach to behaviours of distress

- Positive behaviour support training or transferable experience preferred

- Manual driver with full UK licence
