The role:

We’re looking for an experienced Resident Liaison Officer to join the Housing team in Merton. The role is key in building strong relationships between our client, contractors, and residents — ensuring clear communication, excellent customer service, and smooth delivery of housing services.




Key Responsibilities:



Act as the main point of contact for residents, contractors, and internal teams.


Support and lead on local resident engagement and communication strategies.


Coordinate responses to resident enquiries and complaints.


Organise and attend meetings and resident surgeries across South London.


Use data insights to inform and improve service delivery.






What the client is looking for:



Proven experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within social housing or local authority.


Excellent communication and organisational skills.


Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving abilities.


Confident using IT systems and handling data in line with GDPR.


Willingness to travel across South London and work flexibly.



Desirable:



Knowledge of housing management and social housing legislation.


Experience in complaints resolution or community engagement.
