Job Title: Support Worker
Location: Sandbach
Rate of Pay: £13.50 p/h
Shifts: 36-48 hours per week, including every other weekend

About the Role
In this role you will be supporting a young man with autism and epilepsy amongst other conditions, assisting him with areas of his day to day life and providing support if and when he is in distress. This a challenging yet rewarding role, and you will receive full training to allow you to flourish and further your skills. Support work is a highly rewarding role where you assist individuals, often with learning disabilities, mental health needs, or physical challenges, to live as independently and confidently as possible. As a Support Worker, you'll provide practical help with daily tasks, offer emotional encouragement, and promote social inclusion, enabling people to lead fulfilling lives at home and in the community.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Supporting individuals with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care
- Promoting independence and helping service users develop life skills
- Providing emotional support and building positive relationships
- Assisting with medication management (where required and trained)
- Supporting individuals to access the community, attend appointments, or participate in social activities
- Encouraging and enabling service users to achieve personal goals
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns to the care team
- Ensuring a safe, respectful, and person-centred environment at all times
Key Requirements
- Must be a driver with access to your own vehicle
- Flexibility
- Minimum 6 months of professional care experience
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
