Home, a place where you belong

Help us stay calm and capable when it matters most. If you’re ready to lead risk and resilience at a strategic level, this is your chance to make a real impact. You’ll help protect our people, homes and services when things go wrong. It’s a switch from managing plans to shaping how the whole organisation prepares, responds and recovers.

What you’ll do

  • Lead our enterprise risk and continuity strategy across the organisation

  • Guide board and executive teams to make confident, informed decisions

  • Set frameworks that embed risk ownership and continuity leadership

  • Support major incident response with calm, expert oversight

  • Influence a proactive, open risk culture through strategic thinking

Why join us

You’ll work closely with senior leaders and governance bodies, shaping decisions at the highest level. It’s a chance to build your profile, grow your influence and lead change across departments. Be part of one of the UK’s top 10 Great Places to Work!

You have

  • Experience leading risk and continuity in regulated or complex settings

  • Confidence presenting at board level and influencing senior leaders

  • A qualification in risk or continuity, or equivalent experience

  • Strong knowledge of consumer standards, health and safety and compliance

  • Skills to guide, challenge and support without direct line management

Stronger together

We do our best work when we’re ourselves. That’s why inclusion, wellbeing, and our diversity networks help make Home Group a great place to work!

The practical bits

  • You’ll work Monday to Friday and manage your own diary

  • We typically work on a hybrid basis with 2 days per week in our Newcastle upon Tyne head office, with the rest from home.

  • Our anchor day is Wednesday, and you pick your second day.

What’s in it for you?

  • 34 days leave, rising to 39 (this includes bank holidays and a “me day”). The option to buy 5 more each year and 2 paid volunteering days each year

  • Health cash plan saving you (and your children) £1140+ each year covering dental, opticians, prescriptions and more

  • Matching pension contribution (up to 7% and life insurance of 3x basic salary)

  • Work your way with flexibility to balance life and work

  • Family friendly policies including maternity, paternity, adoption, neonatal, fertility and menopause support
