We're need a Lead Product Manager to join role our Health and Disability function. We deliver high quality and efficient services that enable people with disabilities and people with health conditions access the help, advice and support they need.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Lead Product Manager. You will be accountable for a portfolio of technical enabling enterprise scale products & technology services deployed on cloud infrastructures.
Your area of responsibility will be technology focussed spanning multiple technical disciplines including Software Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure, Security and QA capabilities across the Health and Disability directorate.

As a key member of our Product and Engineering Leadership teams you will be responsible for:
- Developing the product strategy.
- Owning the product roadmap.
- Making key priority calls.
- Making evidence-based strategic and tactical product choices.
- Communicating product success to stakeholders.
- Explaining controversial choices about your product.
- Coaching less experienced product managers.
- People management both immediate and matrix organised.

- Extensive experience of creating, communicating and achieving stakeholder commitment to product vision and roadmaps for enterprise scale digital services on cloud infrastructure with current and emerging technologies including architectural, security, QA testing and data aspects.
- Extensive experience in prioritising technology and technical backlogs based on user needs, value and effort.
- Extensive experience of making effective choices with successful outcomes based on incomplete information.
- Extensive experience of working with a range of specialists in multidisciplinary teams, applying agile methods and product mindset for delivery of digital services in a complex technical environment for progressive value realisation.
Technical statement:
- Extensive experience of managing technology-based product teams with an applied technical understanding of a range of enterprise scale digital services deployed on AWS and/or Azure cloud infrastructures.

Location: You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Birmingham, Leeds or Newcastle, whichever is most convenient for you.
Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.
Pay: We offer competitive pay of up to £80,276
Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth over £21,000 a year.
Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 26 days rising to 31 days over time.
You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You'll also get all the usual public holidays.
