Summary
Major Duties and Responsibilities: Work alongside a clinician in the provision of patient care Undertake patient centred tasks and record details in patient records, measurement of height, weight Urinalysis Measurement of blood pressure, temperature and pulse Peak flow measurements Spirometry Recording of ECGs Venepuncture Gather data on relevant patient history and health status, others as appropriate 24 hr BP Diabetic foot assessment Cleaning equipment and undertaking infection control procedures Assist with the administration and despatch of pathological specimens Assist with Minor Procedures Assist with wound care Assist with Minor Injuries as appropriate Assist with ordering drugs and other medical supplies Assist with the display of health promotion displays and leaflets Clearing and restocking rooms when necessary Undertake stitch removal With suitable qualification administer Influenza and Vitamin B12 Injections Assisting with the collection and collation of data on needs related to health and well-being. Undertake miscellaneous administrative and support tasks, associated with clinical activities. Undertake and assist in audit Patient notes summarisation Stock take Any other delegated responsibility deemed appropriate to the post
