Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Tech 1 to assist with IT equipment deployment and installation activities at customer sites. This support role involves handling trolleys, unpacking hardware, relocating equipment, disposing of packaging, and assisting with desktop installations under the direction of Tech 2 or the customer.
Location: 1 Sidwell St, Exeter - OnsiteDaily Rate: £13.33/hr - PAYE, £17.30/hr - UMB
Contract Length: 7th November 2025 - One-Day Contract Role
Key Responsibilities
- Move trolleys containing IT equipment to designated areas on site.
- Unbox the IT kit delivered in packaging and prepare it for installation.
- Relocate trolleys and/or individual IT components to specified locations.
- Dispose of packaging materials in accordance with customer instructions.
- Assist with desktop installations as directed by Tech 2 or the customer.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area throughout the deployment process.
- Follow all site-specific safety and conduct protocols.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience in IT deployment support or hardware handling preferred.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving IT equipment and trolleys.
- Able to follow instructions and work collaboratively with senior technicians.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability.
- Professional demeanour and good communication skills.
- Willingness to work in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
