About the role
Bury Council is seeking a dynamic and experienced Stock Investment Manager (Delivery) to lead the implementation of major capital projects aligned with the borough’s ambitious regeneration and infrastructure strategy.
This is a pivotal role within Housing Services, responsible for delivering high-profile, multi-million-pound capital programme that will shape the future of Bury’s 7,700 social housing stock.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of capital projects from inception to completion.
- Manage project teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, financial forecasts, and phasing strategies.
- Collaborate with internal departments (legal, finance, procurement, planning) and external stakeholders.
- Provide strategic oversight and reporting to senior leadership, elected members, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with procurement, health & safety, and sustainability standards.
About You
You will be a confident and capable project delivery professional with:
- Proven experience in managing large-scale capital investment programmes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- A background in regeneration, infrastructure, or public sector capital delivery.
- Ability to manage budgets, risk, and performance across multiple projects.
- A strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and delivery.
