Summary
Main duties:
Carry out all aspects of arboriculture and forestry, including climbing and high-level tree work.
Supervise and support team members to ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Operate and maintain machinery such as chainsaws, chippers and stump grinders.
Organise materials, resources, and transport to ensure effective site operations.
Underetake routine maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
Liaise professionally with the public, clients and stakeholders.
Follow all health and safety procedures and best practices,
The Best Connection are recruiting for an experienced Tree Surgeon/ Level 5 Street Operative to join the dedicated Tree Team at South Staffordshire Council.
To be successful, you'll have at least 3 years practical experience in arboricultur, including climbing operations and leading a small team. You'll be methodical, safety-conscious, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
Essential qualifications include:
NPTC CS30 Chainsaw maintenance and cross cutting
NPTC CS31 Felling small trees
NPTC CS38 Tree climbing and aerial rescue
NPTC CS39 Use of a chainsaw from a rope and harness
Desirable qualifications
NPTC CS41 Aerial tree rigging
NPTC Level 2 Wood chipper and stump grinder
A full UK driving license is required.
