Summary

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Disability Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in delivering our Access and Participation Plan as well as one to one support to students. This is a vital role supporting disabled students, improving access, and ensuring legal compliance across the university.

The post holder should have

Strong understanding of the Equality Act and its application in higher education
Experience supporting disabled individuals, ideally in an educational setting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with academic and professional staff
Proven ability to manage caseloads and prioritise work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Skill in problem-solving and applying reasonable adjustments in a timely, student-focused way
Confidence in using data and systems to support decision-making and service delivery
A commitment to promoting equality, diversity and a whole university approach to disability inclusion
Empathy, discretion, and a student-centred mindset

We have 2 positions available

1 x Full time, Permanent

1 x Full time, Fixed Term until 15/01/2027

The position we are filling is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and a satisfactory DBS disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service is required as part of our clearance procedures.
