Summary

We are looking for enthusiastic pharmacists with demonstrable competencies in hospital pharmacy practice and a commitment to high quality pharmaceutical care to join our team.

The Senior Rotational Pharmacist role allows individual pharmacists to gain the knowledge, skills and experience to develop their practice by working in a structured environment with the support of senior clinical pharmacists.

This programme builds on the knowledge, skills and experience gained at a foundation level and encourages pharmacists to take an active role in their experiential learning and development.

This programme is aimed at pharmacists with significant hospital experience who have completed their Postgraduate Clinical Diploma (or equivalent) and are looking to develop their skills in specialist areas.

Current rotations include (but are not limited to) Clinical Commissioning, Cardiothoracic, Intensive Care, Paediatrics, Oncology, Renal, Cardiology, and Gastroenterology, with further opportunities to rotate across an expanding range of specialties.

As well as delivering clinical pharmacy services, candidates will have the opportunity to undertake Trust-based management courses, team and organisational responsibilities (i.e. staff planning, rostering and business planning), taking on a leadership role (i.e. project supervision, training, mentoring and appraisal of junior staff members) and support service development (i.e. quality improvement, medication safety and financial management).

Please see the attached job description which provides information on our organisation and the programme.
