Your role and responsibilities
You will be a key member of the Quality Assurance and Practise Development Team (QAPD) comprising of the Principal Social Worker, Principal Occupational Therapist and Social Work Practice Leads supporting with tasks and activities to assist the smoothy running of the team.
Although every day could be different the kind of tasks you will be asked to complete may include:
- organising QAPD Team Meetings, Practice Drop-in Sessions etc including room bookings, Teams Meetings, arranging equipment, inviting attendees, collating and circulating meeting papers, handouts, taking minutes etc
- supporting the Principal Social Worker/ Head of Quality Assurance & Practice Development and other Team Members with admin tasks including appointments, meetings, rotas, presentations etc
- ensuring that practice information and guidance from the QAPD Team is kept up to date, accurate and accessible including QAPD SharePoint Site and IRIS. Including informing document owners when updates required and monitoring quality assurance action as well as supporting creation of various learning materials
- supporting the Principal Social Worker/ Head of Quality Assurance & Practice Development and QAPD Team Members with creation of learning materials in various formats
- supporting QAPD Team with practice Audits, allocating audits on the Case Management System, supporting with data analysis and the production of presentations from reports
- follow up quality assurance actions and update action plans to reflect progress
- monitoring the QAPD team email inbox and provide timely responses or redirection of queries
- supporting QAPD team monthly financial forecasting on Oracle
- working part time hours over Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to compliment the current part time business support officer.

You will need
- Knowledge and experience in Business Administration or Customer Services
- A good standard of literacy and numeracy
- Enthusiasm to be an active member of the team
- Motivation to complete tasks to a high standard
- A desire to learn and develop
- An interest in social care
- The ability to work both independently, using initiative and creativity as well as together in collaboration with other members of the team

The Quality Assurance and Practice Development Team (QAPD) is dedicated to ensuring that high quality and consistent services are delivered to people, supporting the professional development of staff, and promoting best practice across Adult Social Care (ASC). They play a crucial role in delivering the requirements of the Quality Assurance Framework and ensuring that statutory requirements are met. The team leads on fostering a culture of continuous and evidence-based learning in innovative and interactive ways, ensuring that good practice is shared and celebrated. It is vital that the business support officer is an active member of the team.
