Summary
I am looking for a reliable and caring individual to assist with my 14 year old son. He has Downs Syndrome; he is very friendly and responsive to the right person.
I am looking for someone for four hours on alternate Saturdays or for around three hours a week, after school. The job is based in Uphall.
If it is alternate Saturdays, it would be to take my son to his sports club, he also enjoys going to the park to play football and basketball, going ten-pin bowling and trips to the cinema.
If after school, then it would be check he has done any schoolwork. He is fine to make himself a snack and then spend time with him at the park or to go to ten-pin bowling
The rate of pay is £13.83 per hour, depending on experience and the position is available from August 2024.
Ideally, I would like someone with experience of working with a young person with a learning disability, and who is a PVG scheme member or willing to join the scheme. References will also be required.
