Summary
Care Assistant - 38.5 hours
We are currently recruiting for Care Assistants to work in our new male unit at Bluebell Manor in Morpeth.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supporting Residents with social and physical activities and mobility
- Helping with personal care such as showering and dressing
- Assisting people with eating and drinking
- Work as part of a team to provide high quality care
- Ensure the Residents retain their dignity and individuality
- Observe care planning needs for Residents
- Assist in the framework of the Residents’ social activities
- Supporting Residents with a range of health conditions including physical disabilities, dementia, and other mental health conditions
What we are looking for:
- Male applicants only under Genuine Occupational Requirement (Equality Act 2010)
- Genuine interest in working in the care environment
- Great communication skills both written and verbal
- Willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programmes
- Organisational skills
- Good listening and communication skills
- The ability to understand and follow policies and procedures
- Someone to live by our values of dignity, compassion, caring, accountability, and inclusion
- Satisfactory DBS check and check against the DBS Barring list
