Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Deputy Childcare Manager to assist the Manager with the daily operations of our day care and pre-school. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and some experience in managing childcare teams, rooms or settings. This role requires excellent leadership skills, the ability to communicate effectively with staff and parents, and a commitment to creating a nurturing environment for children.
Duties
Lead and inspire the nursery team, ensuring high standards of care and education are maintained.
Be responsible for the delivery of our 'learning through play’ educational ethos.
To plan fun and exciting activities that are constantly challenging children’s learning and development.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to create a welcoming atmosphere.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and nursery standards.
Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and maintain accurate records.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and nursery activities.
Requirements
Proven experience in a childcare setting, preferably in a managerial role.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
Required Qualifications for the role include: Level 3 Early Years Educator
A full enhanced DBS will be required and all safer recruitment processes will be followed.
Available to work 41.5 hours per week (Mondays 07:30-18:00, Tuesdays 07:30-18:00, Weds Day Off, Thursdays 07:30-18:00, Fridays 07:30-17:30)
