Summary

SENSE SCOTLAND - WHERE YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE EVERY DAY!

Our team at Blantyre Housing Support Service looking for Female Support Practitioners* to join them offering part time hours between 13 and 30 hours per week.

Blantyre Housing Support Service is a vibrant and caring environment where we support individuals with complex needs, including physical disabilities and communication challenges. Right now, we’re supporting two sociable women who love getting out and about—whether it’s karaoke, lunch outings, Friday night discos, or storytelling and physio sessions.

As a Female Support Practitioner, you’ll play a key role in helping the people we support enjoy meaningful days and reach their personal goals.

You’ll provide one-to-one support and help with:

*Personal care, household tasks, medication, meals, and money management
*Building friendships and encouraging social interaction
*Promoting independence and individuality
*Keeping accurate records of daily activities
*Working closely with families, team members, and the individuals themselves
*This is a lone-working role, ideal for someone who’s friendly, reliable, and passionate about people

What's the Shift Pattern?

Our Blantyre service provides 24/7 support, so shifts include early mornings, afternoons, evenings, and overnight.

This is a lone-working role, with a rota that includes:

*Early shifts – typically between 7:30 AM and 3:00 PM
*Late shifts – usually between 2:30 PM and 10:00 PM
*Wakened night shifts – from 9:45 PM to 7:45 AM
*Longer day shifts – available between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM

Your rota will be planned in advance, with a mix of shift patterns across the week.

Please note: This is a driver essential role and only applicants who hold a full UK manual or automatic driving licence will be considered. *Sometimes the people we support need a male or female person to support them. For this particular role, a female colleague is required. This is an occupational requirement as defined by the Equality Act 2010.
