Summary

Projects Coordinator (Community and Training Projects) (on-site)
Starting salary is £32,172 per annum
37 hours per week for 52 weeks a year (onsite)

This creative role would suit anyone from a community or arts development background who is keen to generate family and community learning initiatives across Suffolk, or you might be a teacher keen for a change into a more project-based position, developing and programming bespoke courses and events and making a difference to people’s lives in our region. The work will be varied and will give you the chance to work with teams across college, from the creative arts and digital teams, to catering or construction. We are happy to discuss working patterns and hours with the right candidate.

If successful, you will have a special focus on developing and delivering new community learning and training projects, working closely with new and existing community and business contacts and internal curriculum teams. You might develop a bespoke adult learning course with colleagues designed to meet the needs of unemployed people, or organise a family learning event at one of our campuses.

The role is based in a collaborative, supportive team in a growing ambitious organisation. There will be plenty of opportunity to grow and develop your skills in role.

Suffolk New College is a multi-campus college, therefore you may be required to work at and travel between campuses. This role will be split mainly between the Suffolk Rural and Ipswich campuses, with significant work over time at Suffolk New College on the Coast in Leiston as our links with the Sizewell C project develop.

Due to the nature of this role access to personal transport is essential. If using your own vehicle, it is a requirement for your car insurance to cover business use and evidence of this will be requested by finance before any travel claims are paid.
At Suffolk New College, we promote the culture of BeSNC. Implementing BeSNC is not just a choice; it's a commitment to providing the best possible environment for our learners to thrive. It's a commitment to nurturing an inclusive and supportive community where each student, staff and community member can reach their full potential.
