Summary

Are you passionate about empowering others through technology and knowledge? The DofE is seeking an enthusiastic IT Knowledge & Content Coordinator to support the effective use of digital tools across the organisation and its wider network.

In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the creation and delivery of engaging IT training, manage and maintain user-friendly documentation, and champion the adoption of new systems. Working closely with the IT and L&D teams, you’ll ensure staff have access to clear, up-to-date resources that enhance digital confidence and drive operational excellence.

You will be responsible for:

Review the existing IT / digital training options available to DofE staff and identify gaps in our current provision.

Working with the wider L&D team, and acting as the IT Knowledge SME, design, organise and ensure the delivery of digital skills training programs appropriate to the skills needed at the DofE (for example, eDofE, Microsoft 365, and Dynamics systems). This includes delivering regular training programs as well as providing ad-hoc support.

Ensure the development and implementation of an appropriate mix of formal and informal learning and development activities.

Ensure IT Knowledge is developed into training materials to accommodate varied learning styles, including accessibility tools to promote inclusivity.

Champion the use and adoption of new systems and technologies within the Charity.

Identify ways in which IT Knowledge can be used to drive efficiency, strengthen the quality, and extend the reach of DofE programmes around the UK.

Maintaining and curating IT documentation and knowledge articles

Supporting IT service delivery and ticket resolution

Collaborating across departments to align training with strategic goals

What we are looking for:

Knowledge in creating and delivering IT knowledge documentation and related resources.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.

Can demonstrate knowledge of designing and delivering a wide range of computer-based training to support knowledge sharing.

Strong presentation skills and commitment to delivering live, face to face and virtual training based on technological, educational needs.

A keen interest in new and emerging technologies/software.

Ability to work independently, with strong time management skills.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels and across all disciplines within an organisation, including sharing knowledge and developing productive working relationships.

**The geographical allowance is based on a member of staff having a home or office-based postcode within 30 miles (as the crow flies) from Charing Cross, WC2N 5HS. The allowance is 7% capped at £4,000 per annum.
