Senior Quantity Surveyor, Oxford - Exciting University & Healthcare Projects

We're partnering with a long-established, family-run contractor who are gearing up for an exciting pipeline of projects in 2026. They operate with the professionalism and standards of a Tier 1 contractor while maintaining a supportive, close-knit culture.

The Role:

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working on high-value projects including some lited below:

  • Oxford University - lab refurbishments, fit-out projects, and a new-build lab fit-out
  • Morgan Sindall - new-build hospital in Central Oxford

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review pre-tender estimates and cost plans
  • Manage commercial aspects of projects from start to finish
  • Monitor and report on project costs, budgets, and cashflow
  • Prepare variation and interim valuations
  • Support procurement and tendering processes
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure smooth delivery
  • Provide commercial advice and guidance to project teams
  • Ensure all processes comply with company procedures and standards
  • Mentor and support junior QS staff as required

About You:

  • Experienced Senior or Project QS that has experience in managing a small or large commercial team
  • Strong drive and a team-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Based in or around Oxford, ideally with flexibility to work across north and south offices
  • Ideally 3-5 years experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor
  • Thrives in a culture that understands the importance of teamwork and a closeknit culture
