Summary
Support Worker / Personal Assistant for Graham – East Kilbride
We’re looking for a caring, friendly and reliable person to join a small team supporting Graham, a young man living in the East Kilbride area.
Graham is non-verbal and requires 1:1 support across a 24-hour shift pattern. Your role will include helping with personal care, day-to-day tasks, and supporting Graham to get out and about pushing manual wheelchair– whether that’s attending social activities or enjoying a day trip. He loves being active and engaged in his community, so no two days are quite the same!
We’re looking for someone who is sociable, easy-going, and ready to be a positive presence in Graham’s life.
What you need to know:
• A full driving licence is essential – you’ll be driving a manual mobility vehicle.
• Experience is welcome but not essential – full training will be provided.
• Epilepsy training is desirable, but support and training will be given.
• The most important qualities are a warm, friendly nature and a genuine desire to work in a caring role.
• You’ll also need good communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Details:
• Permanent role – 24 hours per week
• Set shift: Friday 10am – Saturday 10am
• Hourly rate: £12.60
• Some flexibility may be required to support the wider team.
