Summary
We are urgently looking for an experienced Locum Substance Misuse/Detox Nurse to join our client's team in Swindon. If you are interested, please read the details below:
- Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week)
- Dates: ASAP 3 months (Temporary Contract will be reviewed after 3 months)
- Pay Rate: depending on the experience, between £29 to £35/hr (PAYE)
Your new role
Undertake physical and mental health assessments for service users and ensure appropriate sign posting/referral to primary care or appropriate secondary health care services for identified health issues.To undertake Nurse Alcohol Assessments and determine safe detoxificationAssist in the titration process for opiate service users.To provide screening for BBV, through dry blood spot testing.To provide Hepatitis B vaccinations when needed.Offer wound care assessment and basic wound dressing to service users.
Essential Qualifications and ExperienceCurrent NMC registrationPrevious experience in a similar role at a Drug Treatment service, Forensic, Prison or other similar backgroundStrong communication and teamwork skills.
