About LinkLiving
LinkLiving is a Scottish health and wellbeing charity supporting people to overcome trauma, mental health challenges, poverty, and inequality. We help people build on their strengths through:

Personal development and employability programmes

Self-help coaching

Supported accommodation, care at home, and housing support

Befriending and social cafes

The Service
Link Academy works with young people with complex backgrounds who may experience low confidence, poor mental health, or destructive behaviours. We help them develop wellbeing, independent living skills, and qualifications that support progression into work, education, or stable housing. Staff use trauma-informed approaches to help young people build resilience and achieve their goals.

The Role
As a Development Worker, you’ll support children and young people to achieve their goals through guidance, training, and personal development. You’ll deliver engaging programmes that build skills, confidence, and positive outcomes. You’ll also develop training materials, monitor programme outcomes, and create volunteering and learning opportunities that empower participants to contribute to their communities.

You’ll build relationships with partners, promote LinkLiving’s services, and contribute to a culture of learning and inclusion.

About You
You’ll be educated to SCQF Level 7 (HNC or equivalent) and have at least three years’ professional youth work experience. You’ll have a strong track record in developing and delivering programmes for young people and training for adults.

You’ll hold or be willing to work towards SCQF Assessor and Verifier qualifications (LD9–LD11) and be confident in creating digital resources and evaluating impact. You’ll understand the Scottish policy landscape and challenges facing young people and families, applying this knowledge to design relevant, inclusive support.

You’ll bring excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills, a trauma-informed approach, and the ability to engage and inspire others. ICT skills, flexibility to travel, and a full driving licence are essential. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
