Summary

WR Fundraising Recruitment has an exciting opportunity to join one of the region’s most exciting youth development charities as a Part Time Fundraising Officer.

The charity supports young people across Surrey who may be on the periphery of mainstream education, in danger of entering the youth justice system or disengaged with their lives and future - working with schools, statutory organisations and charity partners to ensure that the needs of these young people are met and exceeded.

This is a really exciting and varied role where you will have the opportunity to represent the charity within the community, the charity’s supporters while contributing to the wider fundraising team.

Engaging with supporters, schools, clubs and businesses across Surrey, this is a wonderful role – working with communities and local businesses, ensuring the charity’s supporters are taken along an amazing supporter journey.

Fundraising Officer
Part Time 2-3 days a week to suit
Permanent
Home Based – Covering Guildford with flexible and hybrid working available
Up to circa £30,000 FTE on experience

Duties will include:
• Raising the profile of the charity and deepening relationships with a range of supporters across the area
• Work to increase the supporter base across the region and generate support through community fundraising activity
• Support the fundraising team at events and in other fundraising activity
• Forge links with communities, organisations, and small businesses in and around the local area
• Provide support for special community fundraising-related projects

The ideal candidate will have:
• Experience of working in a fundraising role – corporate partnerships and community fundraising experience preferred.
• Ability to engage and hold the interest of supporters
• An engaging personality - Comfortable with public speaking in from of small groups
• Experience of building successful relationships
• Ability to motivate, inspire and lead supporters at various levels
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly across the area
