Estates Technician

Canterbury

- £28,140 per year
40 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 4:00pm

We are looking for an Estate Technician to join our Canterbury Estates team. This role will involve both working in a team and lone working. One of the main duties for this role is compliance testing every month, travelling between Kent and Sussex to complete fire alarm, electric light and water temperature tests. This will require the use of a company phone and technology for recording and reporting. Other tasks will include grounds maintenance and may include some cleaning and caretaking work to cover shortfall. You will be supplied with a van and tools to assist in this role.

The role of Estates Technician will include:
- Carrying out compliance checks
- Clearing and cleaning void properties
- Grass cutting, litter picking and garden salvage
- Removal of bulk waste
- Completing daily work records and maintaining stock levels
- Ensuring tools and equipment are kept in a useable condition
- Providing accurate information and updates on the progress of allocated work

Skills and experiences:
- Working knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Excellent time management skills
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance
- Ability to use mobile phone apps and learn processes quickly
- Previous experience supervising other staff
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
