Duration: asap - ongoing
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours/week (Mon–Fri, 07:00–15:00)
Pay Rate: PAYE: £16.65/hour Umbrella/Ltd: £21.62/hour
️ About the Role
Bath and North East Somerset Council is seeking a reliable and experienced Team Leader Driver (LGV) to support kerbside waste collection operations during a secondment cover period. Based at the Keynsham Recycling Hub, you’ll lead by example—driving and loading waste collection vehicles while ensuring smooth daily operations and high standards of service.
Key Responsibilities
Drive and operate LGV waste collection vehicles across designated routes
Lead and support a small team in daily kerbside waste collection tasks
Ensure safe manual handling and lifting procedures are followed
Maintain punctuality, professionalism, and a strong work ethic
Adapt to changing routes, tasks, and operational needs with flexibility
✅ Essential Requirements
Valid HGV/LGV driving licence
Experience in manual lifting and handling
Flexible approach to hours and duties
Strong teamwork and leadership skills
Commitment to health and safety standards
