The London Borough of Hillingdon is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join the Adult Social Care Directorate during a peak in project workload. This senior interim role offers the opportunity to make a strategic impact across capital, transformation, and operational finance.
Role Overview
As Finance Business Partner, you’ll work alongside the Service Directorate’s senior management team and support the Head of Finance in delivering high-quality financial direction and guidance. You’ll play a key role in translating complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders and driving robust financial management across the Directorate.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic financial support across Adult Social Care and cross-cutting capital/transformation projects
Support budget managers in fulfilling their financial responsibilities
Deliver clear, insightful financial analysis and challenge senior managers constructively
Develop strategic financial plans aligned with the Council’s medium-term financial forecasts
Coordinate and manage a service finance team to ensure consistent delivery of financial advice
Advise Corporate Directors, Heads of Service, and budget holders on financial planning and performance
About You
We’re looking for a confident and collaborative finance professional who:
Has extensive experience in public sector finance, ideally within Adult Social Care
Can communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial audiences
Is skilled in strategic planning, forecasting, and budget management
Thrives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment
Has a proven ability to lead and influence at senior levels
