Key Responsibilities
Case Management: Lead on individual learner cases, coordinating multi-agency support and ensuring timely interventions for those at risk of exclusion, disengagement, or becoming NEET.
Pathway Planning: Develop personalised education and progression plans that reflect each learner’s strengths, interests, and aspirations, including vocational routes and supported internships.
Alternative Provision Oversight: Coordinate high-quality alternative education placements for students who cannot access mainstream settings, ensuring they are purposeful and lead to recognised outcomes.
Post-16 Transition Support: Work closely with careers advisers, colleges, training providers, and employers to ensure smooth transitions and sustained engagement in post-16 destinations.
Multi-Agency Working: Attend and contribute to Team Around the Child (TAC) meetings, PEP reviews, and safeguarding discussions to ensure education remains central to planning.
Attendance and Engagement Monitoring: Track attendance, progress, and wellbeing, intervening early to prevent drop-out or disengagement.
Student Voice and Empowerment: Ensure young people are actively involved in decisions about their education and future, promoting confidence and self-advocacy.
Skills and Attributes
Strong understanding of NEET prevention strategies and post-16 pathways
Knowledge of SEND, safeguarding, and statutory responsibilities
Excellent communication, coordination, and case management skills
Commitment to inclusive education and lifelong learning
