Summary
These 3 neurology consultant posts are developed as a joint post held jointly between Calderdale and Huddersfield foundation trust ( CHFT) and Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (LTHT). The post holder will be expected to actively engage with other consultant colleagues in the development of future service models to meet the changing needs of patients using the neurology services at CHFT and LTHT. Applications are encouraged from experienced consultants wishing to take up a new challenge or newly accredited consultants who will be supported through our highly regarded development programmes. The post holder is encouraged to develop his/her own sub-specialty interest. We are keen to expand our Neuromuscular, Epilepsy, Movement disorders and Headache service in the region. Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is an exceptional place to work with many amazing teams of hard working and dedicated staff, delivering high standards of patient care. We have made significant changes in the way we work to meet the challenges of the changing NHS, and we were rated by the Care Quality Commission as Good in June 2018. With goals to attain a rating of Outstanding from the CQC and to have Teaching Hospital status. Our vision is to provide One Culture of Care, which means that we look after ourselves and our colleagues in the same way that we care for our patients. If you are kind, compassionate, dynamic, enthusiastic and effective we want to support you through the next stage of your career at consultant level. Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is undergoing a once in a lifetime opportunity to reconfigure services across our sites. The Department of Health and Social Care has awarded capital funding to invest in local health services at both Calderdale Royal Hospital and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. This is a significant investment and an opportunity to enhance services for our populations in Calderdale and Huddersfield and West Yorkshire for generations to come.
