Summary

Job title: Personal Assistant (PA)

Reporting to: The Employer

Location: Finchfield, Wolverhampton WV3

Hours of work: 3 hours per week on Saturday.

Rate of pay: £13.50 per hour

Job purpose:

To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.

About the employer:

Our client is a 52-year-old male living in Finchfield, Wolverhampton who is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to provide support with accessing suitable activities of the client’s choice.

Main duties:

Social duties

- Keep in touch and socialise with family and friends
- Access activities such as, Tenpin Bowling and going to WV Active Aldersley Gym
- Attend a disco at Goodyears

These duties may vary from day-to-day.

Type of person that you/they are looking for:

- Values: Someone that is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect, flexible, adaptable, easy going, able to work alone, positive, willingness to travel and understands equality & diversity.
- Specific requirements: Someone with previous care & support experience. Someone that has worked with individuals with Down Syndrome. Must be a driver with their own vehicle.

**May be extra hours available on Wednesday evenings**

Skills, qualifications, and experience

Essential:

- Full UK Driving licence
- Car and appropriate insurance
- Previous care & support worker experience
- Confidentiality
- Good at building relationships

- Good communicator
- A good listener
- Ability to support people with complex support needs

Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.

This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
