MSK Outpatient Physiotherapy
Acute and Community Hospitals Base
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an assistant Practitioner post to support our highly specialised team of physiotherapists working cross site between the Acute and community hospital sites.
The MSK Outpatient Physiotherapy service works both with our partnership organisation, and other local providers, to assess and treat patients with a range of acute and chronic musculo-skeletal conditions, including pre and post-operative rehabilitation. The teams work very closely with our consultant body and advanced practitioners to ensure patients follow our pathways of care based on current research evidence and NICE guidelines.
Due to the nature of this role, working across multiple sites, applicants for this role will need to be able to drive to ensure effective delivery.
Join our busy MSK department supporting specialist physiotherapists in delivering excellent patient care aligned with Trust values. As part of your Band 3 apprenticeship, you’ll assist in progressing treatment plans within set protocols and help deliver group rehab classes for chronic low back pain and knee osteoarthritis. You’ll collect and manage patient data to monitor outcomes and support service innovation, while also conducting health and safety checks using the ASURE system. Strong IT skills are essential.
You’ll work toward a fully funded Level 5 Foundation Degree and Band 4 competencies, supported by the Trust Education Department and physiotherapy team. Upon successful completion, you’ll transition into a Band 4 Assistant Practitioner role.
