Delivery Driver (Self-Employed)
Average Salary: £150 per day
Hours: Full-time
Location: Norwich Depot (Delivering in Wisbech)
At Gateway Logistics Group (GLG) we are passionate about what we do. We are looking for full-time drivers to join our team. Individuals with a good work ethic who can provide excellent customer service. This is a fast-paced environment and a demanding role. If you’re enthusiastic and love being on the move with a can-do attitude, this role is perfect for you! Looking for hard working individuals willing to put the work in this is a Monday to Friday position with 1 Saturday in 3.
Benefits
- The pay rate per day is on average £150
- Paid monthly
- Immediate start available (pending DBS/CRB check dated within last 3 months)
- We provide you with a van, insurance and fuel
- Bank Holidays and Weekends off except for 1 working Saturday every 3 weeks which can be a half-day or full day
- Onsite parking Available
- Average between 10 to 12-hour working days
- Average 70-95 Parcels deliveries per day + collections
- Opportunity for bonuses based on performance
Your responsibilities
- Drive a vehicle in a safe and responsible manner
- Complete daily checks on the vehicle and ensure it is roadworthy
- Follow all applicable traffic laws and regulations
- Load and unload packages from vehicles
- Learn your route so it suits you. (Training will be given)
- Provide excellent customer service
- This is a self-employed role, so you’ll have to file your tax return, we can help with this.
- Perform heavy lifting when required
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time
- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided

Requirements
- Hold a UK License and a minimum of 2 years’ experience driving long-wheelbase vans i.e. sprinter crafter
- The minimum age requirement is 25 years old for insurance purposes
- Have no endorsements on licence with offence codes - CD40, CD50, CD60, CD70, CD80, CD90, DD40, DD60, DD80, DD90, DR10, DR20, DR30, DR40, DR50, DR60, DR70, DR80, DR90, IN10, MS50, UT50; AC, BA, CD, DD, DG, DR, MR, MS, TT, UT.
- Valid right to work in the UK
- No unspent criminal convictions
- Up-to-date CRB/DBS Check
- Able to travel to Norwich Depot daily (Near Asda, Drayton Road)
