Summary

Nursery Manager – Flying High Nursery School, East Birmingham
Do you have what it takes to succeed?
This position is perfect for someone with at least three years of nursery management experience who wants to help shape our reputation within the East Birmingham community.
Our nursery, established in September 2017, has quickly grown and now operates at full capacity across all rooms. We’re now looking for an exceptional early years’ practitioner who is passionate about education to lead our dedicated and expanding team.
As manager, you'll guide all aspects of practice with the leadership team—ensuring planning matches children's needs, maintaining accurate developmental records, supporting staff through coaching and training, and strengthening relationships with parents and local partners. You'll also work closely with a skilled Business Manager and a supportive group of Directors, each bringing unique expertise to assist you.
Strong organisation and communication skills are essential, along with a thorough understanding of day-to-day nursery operations. Candidates should hold at least a Level 3 qualification, though those with Level 5 or Early Years Teacher Status will be preferred. Proven success in an early years setting and excellent knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework are required, as well as adherence to teachers' professional standards.
We're after someone motivated and able to work independently, ready to play a key role in making sure our nursery remains the top choice for local families. Competitive pay and bonuses await the right person, especially one who can help us meet enrolment goals and steer us through a successful Ofsted inspection.
