Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

• Pupil Safety & Welfare: Ensure the safety, welfare, and good conduct of all pupils throughout the lunch break, both in the dining area and in the playground.
• Behaviour Management: Supervise and manage pupil behaviour positively, implementing the school's behaviour policy and resolving minor conflicts and disputes.
• Dining Hall Supervision: Oversee the orderly entry and exit of pupils, encourage good table manners, and assist children with eating their school meals or packed lunches, providing special help to those who need it.

• First Aid & Reporting: Administer minor first aid, provide comfort to distressed pupils, and ensure all accidents, injuries, and serious behaviour issues are reported and recorded immediately to the appropriate staff and in the correct way.
• Area Setup & Cleanup: Assist with the cleaning down of the dining hall (tables, chairs, cutlery, etc.), including wiping surfaces and dealing with food or drink spillages.
• Playground Engagement: Organise and supervise play activities and games, ensuring all children are included.
• Safeguarding: Be fully aware of and adhere to the school's safeguarding/child protection policies, reporting any concerns about a child's welfare to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
