Summary

Mowbray Day Centre
Administrative Assistant
37 hrs per week (fixed term) to 31/03/2025
Band 2 Salary £24,796.00 - £25,185.00

The Mowbray Day Centre offers adults with learning disabilities opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people and develop confidence and self-esteem.

The service is open Monday to Friday each week and Service User travel from home each day to attend and take part in a range of group and individual activities both in the day centre and community.

We are looking for a motivated and caring individual to provide reception and admin support to the service and to assist management in the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the service.

As the Administration Assistant you will play a key role as the first point of contact for service user and visitors arriving at the day centre.

The role will involve a range of tasks which include;

-Dealing with telephone enquiries
-Raising orders
-Processing invoices
-Maintain financial records
-Handling petty cash & banking
-Maintain a register of attendance
-Maintain financial records for charges for meals and transport
-Minute taking
-Maintaining electronic records
-Carrying out customer satisfaction surveys
-Raising repairs
-Other general administrative duties including, photocopying, archiving and filing.

You will have experience of working in a customer focused environment, dealing with members of the public in person, over the phone and communicating effectively.

You should have good organisational and IT skills and be committed to delivering excellent customer service.

Some experience in a similar workplace role and possess an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a business-related discipline is essential.
