Make a Bigger Impact While Staying Connected to the Work You Love
Are you ready to take the next step in your career without losing the hands-on connection to the people you support? If you're an experienced support worker or team leader with a passion for person-centred care, this is your opportunity to grow into a leadership role while continuing to make a direct difference.
We're looking for a Male Assistant Locality Manager to join our team across six supported living services. While your primary base will be in Nottingham, you'll also support services in Derby and Staffordshire when needed.
Who Will You Be Supporting?
You'll play a key role in supporting two individuals with unique personalities and active lifestyles:
- A man in his 30s with autism who enjoys cooking from scratch, snooker, cinema trips, social media, and eating out. He thrives on structure and has a close relationship with his family.
- A man in his 40s with a mild learning disability who leads a busy, fulfilling life. He volunteers five days a week, loves car shows, European holidays, cinema, and collecting model vehicles. He's highly social and supported by a very involved family.
Both receive 1:1 support, and your leadership will help ensure their care remains consistent, empowering, and tailored to their goals.
What Will You Be Doing?
This is a blended role that combines leadership, coordination, and direct support. You will:
- Lead by Example - Motivate and guide your team to deliver outstanding, person-centred care
- Coordinate Support - Manage rotas, oversee medication and appointments, and ensure smooth daily operations
- Mentor and Develop - Support team growth through coaching and embedding best practices
- Build Strong Relationships - Collaborate with families, health professionals, and external agencies
- Stay Hands-On - Provide direct support during rota hours, including sleep-ins and weekends
- Contribute Strategically - Assist with service development, recruitment, and quality assurance
- Use Technology Confidently - Navigate IT systems for scheduling, reporting, and communication
Your Schedule & Salary
Annual Salary: £30,341.75
- Base salary: £28,884.61
- Additional allowance: £2,166.35 (7.5% for 2 days off rota)
Work Pattern:
- 15 hours per week in the office or working from home
- Remaining hours on rota (including days, sleep-ins, and weekends)
- Participation in the on-call rota is required
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who is ready to lead with empathy, confidence, and purpose.
You'll bring:
- Experience supporting people with autism and learning disabilities
- Leadership potential and a collaborative mindset
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Confidence using IT systems for planning and communication
