Summary
To provide a full and comprehensive Operational HR advisory service to management and staff within designated localities to facilitate the effective recruitment, retention, deployment and development of staff. To undertake sickness absence audits across designated localities, producing reports and recommendations to enable localities to develop action plans to effectively manage sickness absence, on an ongoing basis. To contribute to the Agenda for Change job evaluation process by acting as a member of the job evaluation panel evaluating. Be willing to undertake relevant training if required. In the event we are unable to appoint a successful candidate to the Band 5 People Officer role, a developmental People Officer will be considered at Band 4. We would encourage those who do not meet the Band 5 criteria but do meet all of the Band 4 criteria to apply on this basis. In a development role it would be expected that the post holder meets all elements of the band 4 essential criteria and will need time/support and training to consolidate and enhance skills and knowledge required to fully perform at the band 5 People Officer level.
