Summary

Are you a Band 7 Non-Medical Prescriber looking to work in a supportive and established team? We want you to join our Poole CAMHS and Bournemouth & Christchurch CAMHS, working in a split-post across both sites with the expectation to work on-site within both teams.

Poole CAMHS and Bournemouth & Christchurch CAMHS are multi-disciplinary teams that work with children and young people aged 0 - 18 years. There are professionals from a range of backgrounds in each team, including Psychiatry, Nursing, Psychology, Social Work and CBT/IPT-A therapists.

The service is entering an exciting period of growth, with new investments and initiatives underway. This role will evolve alongside the development of our service; initially, you may support existing teams while new structures are implemented. All positions are pan-Dorset and will involve having a temporary base during the transitional phase. As our service develops, some roles may involve working flexibly within extended hours to reflect our commitment to being there at the moments that count most. This is more than just a role - it’s a chance to help shape a growing service and be part of something that really matters. We are looking for compassionate, adaptable and positive individuals who are inspired by the idea of making a genuine difference and who want to help shape the future of care in our community.

To independently prescribe medication for the treatment of mental illness and associated symptoms.

To provide advice to clinicians in General practice and other areas of practice, when required, on the management of mental health problems, including the prescription of medication.

To play a lead role in the provision of high quality clinical care and the maintenance of high professional standards in the locality.

To undertake the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for individuals experiencing serious mental health problems who are referred to CAMHS

The post holder may be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
