Job Description:
We are looking for a proactive and dependable Retail Operations Assistant to support the day-to-day running of our retail store. The ideal candidate will assist in sales, customer service, stock management, and maintaining overall shop standards. This role is key to ensuring smooth store operations and an excellent shopping experience for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Open and close the shop as per schedule.
* Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service.
* Process sales transactions accurately via cash or card.
* Record daily sales, expenses, and customer feedback.
* Receive, unpack, and organize new stock deliveries.
* Maintain stock displays and ensure shelves are neat and fully stocked.
* Monitor inventory levels and inform management of low or fast-moving items.
* Assist in setting up promotional displays and seasonal offers.
* Keep the shop clean, tidy, and compliant with safety standards.
* Report daily operations and any issues to the manager/owner.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in retail, sales, or shop operations preferred.
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
* Basic computer knowledge (Excel, POS system handling, etc.).
* Reliable, honest, and able to work independently.
* Flexible to work weekends or extended hours if needed.
