Via East Midlands are currently seeking an Estimator to join our Estimating team based out of our Head Office in Bilsthorpe, Nottinghamshire.

Maximising value and efficiency, we oversee procurement, estimating, and quantity surveying to keep Nottinghamshire’s highways projects on track.

What you’ll do:

Attending Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) meetings with Designers, Contract Agents and external clients to ascertain what is required in terms of Labour, Plant and Materials.
Price tenders, quotations, estimates and target prices for engineering projects and works using manual calculation and electronic systems.
Obtain quotes for materials and specialist works from suppliers and sub-contractors.
Act as main contact for external clients on successful bids for works, to provide a main point of contact.
Process Project Change Control forms to ensure up to date projected costs are recorded and forwarded to Project Engineers or Clients as appropriate.
Ensure the Estimating Register is kept up to date, to provide up to date data for the Estimating Manager to keep them informed of all activities.

What we’re seeking:

NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification in building, highways or civil engineering with practical experience and working knowledge.
ICT skills with experience of using applications including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Experience of providing information to and dealing with internal and external customers in person or via email or over the phone.
Proven ability to plan and prioritise workload and react to customer queries in a busy office environment.
Full UK Driving Licence.
