Join Sodexo as a Waste Operative in Essex,where you’ll play an important role in supporting our commitment to a clean,safe, and sustainable environment. You’ll be responsible for the effectivecollection, segregation, and disposal of waste materials across the site,ensuring all activities meet environmental and regulatory standards. What you'll do:
- Collect general, plastic, and cardboard waste from designated areas across the site daily
- Transport and load cardboard pallets to the recycling area and onto trailers
- Ensure all waste is correctly segregated, baled, compacted, packaged, and stored in line with regulations
- Arrange and coordinate waste removals with the nominated supplier
- Complete and file all required documentation for waste collections and deliveries
- Maintain all equipment in safe and efficient working order
What you'll bring:
- Excellent communication and literacy skills
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Able to meet service requirements in line with client and company policies
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team
- Current FLT licence
- Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices
