Key Responsibilities of Accounts Assistant

- Carry out accounting and administrative duties in line with company procedures.
- Process invoices, receipts, and payments accurately and on time.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure funds are properly allocated to the right customer or supplier.
- Respond promptly to payment and account queries.
- Maintain accurate records of cash, cheque, and direct debit transactions.
- Verify VAT and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Support general finance operations and maintain daily account updates.
- Communicate professionally with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.

Skills & Experience

- Strong numeracy and attention to detail.
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles and financial documents.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A customer-focused and professional approach.
