This role offers an exciting opportunity within the Maritime and Aviation Appraisal and Modelling (MAvAM) team, part of the AMBA division. AMBA is a multidisciplinary group of around 50 analysts providing modelling, economic, and statistical expertise to inform aviation and maritime policy. The successful candidate will manage the National Air Passenger Demand Model (NAPDM), supporting key aviation forecasts. Team members collaborate flexibly across disciplines, working on high-priority Department for Transport (DfT) policies and engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:
Managing the National Air Passenger Demand Model (NAPDM) which is used to forecast unconstrained demand and feeds into other aviation models run within the team.Take the lead on the demand estimation element of updating and publishing aviation forecasts and work alongside fellow aviation modellers to produce these forecasts.Represent the department at the Multi-disciplinary Working Group on Long-term Traffic Forecasts (MDWG-LTF) within the ICAOFor further information on the role, please read the role profile.
