Role Summary:

The post holder would ideally located in or around the West or East Midlands. The role involves regional travel to support onsite assessments, with all travel taking place during working hours. Standard hours are 8:30am–4:30pm, but flexibility is required to support a client with hours of 1:00pm–9:00pm when needed. The post holder must hold a driver's license and have access to a vehicle due to the travel requirements.


The post holder will provide leading Occupational Health Physiotherapy Service to clients with the aim of early return to work. This involves a positive bio-psychosocial approach combining functional assessment with evidence-based treatment which is underpinned with excellent clinical care. The role will provide the following services on a remote and F2F basis; triage phone calls, supported self-management, functional restoration programmes, DSE & Workplace assessments and hands - on treatment if neccessary.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide accurate, detailed, and appropriate assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to employees on a remote or face-to-face basis.
Identify, assess, and advise on any workplace hazards or contributing factors to Musculoskeletal disorders.
Conduct workplace assessments such as DSE or work-based tasks as and when required and provide advice and recommendations as appropriate.
Always maintain clinical objectivity and impartiality in line with occupational health guidance.
Deliver effective evidence-based rehabilitation that adheres to national clinical standards.
Utilise a bio-psychosocial approach combined with functional assessment to address barriers to work and inform robust work recommendations.


Experience, Skills, and Knowledge Required for the Role:

Clinical Physiotherapy Qualification.
Full Member of the CSP & Registered member of HCPC is essential.
Minimum of 18 months experience post registration
Post-graduate training in Occupational Health/Ergonomics.
Previous experience or an interest in Occupational Health Physiotherapy.
Experience of providing functional assessment and fitness for work advice.
Driver license & access to a vehicle.
