35 hours per week for the first 4 weeks after appointment, variable thereafter
Salary: £32,528 - £35,721 per annum, pay award pending

UHI Perth is one of Scotland’s leading Colleges of Further and Higher Education, and a large partner in Scotland’s newest University, the University of the Highlands and Islands.

We are looking for a Work Based Assessor in the area of Carpentry and Joinery. The role will involve conducting work-based assessments and maintaining appropriate supporting documentation for candidates undertaking vocational qualifications; to develop industry and employer links and generate new business for the college.

You should be appropriately qualified with an advanced craft certificate in Carpentry & Joinery at SVQ L3 / PDA level 7. Having any of the following assessor or verifier qualifications would be an advantage - D32 D33 D34, or A Units and V units or more recent assessor/verifier awards. A current driving licence and an ability and willingness to travel to assess candidates is also a necessary requirement.

Please note this post is for 3 months in the first instance, this may be extended further but this is not guaranteed.
