Summary

Forklift Operator

Our client are looking for a Forklift Operator with at least 1 years experience and must have an FLT license. They are a leading deep water cargo terminal strategically located near major shipping channels and they specialise in efficient and cost-effective cargo handling and stevedore services, ensuring seamless operations from ship to shore and beyond.

- Shifts on a casual basis - 1-2 a week and can increase during busier periods
- £16.25 per hour

Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload cargo efficiently within our warehouse environment. Your expertise will contribute significantly to their mission of providing exceptional service in the shipping industry.

Responsibilities

* Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load and unload cargo.
* Manage the organisation of goods within the warehouse to optimise space.
* Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accuracy in documentation.
* Maintain equipment by performing routine inspections and minor repairs as needed.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak times.
* Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
* Utilise warehouse management systems for tracking inventory levels.

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or similar role in a warehouse setting.
* Valid forklift operator certification is required.
* Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
* Basic maths skills for inventory management and documentation purposes.
* Ability to lift heavy loads safely and effectively.
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
