Summary

Registered Manager – Residential Care Home (South Manchester)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established care provider for a Registered Manager to lead a residential care home supporting young adults with learning disabilities. This is a hands-on leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape a high-quality service from the ground up.

The Role:
As the Registered Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the home, ensuring the delivery of safe, person-centered care. You will lead and develop a committed team, maintain regulatory compliance, and build strong relationships with local authorities, social workers, and health professionals to support residents’ needs and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring excellent standards of care.
Develop and implement tailored care plans that promote independence and personal development.
Recruit, train, and motivate a team to deliver high-quality care.
Maintain compliance with CQC regulations and internal policies.
Manage budgets, staffing, and resources effectively.
Build strong partnerships with external professionals to support residents and the service’s growth.

Candidate Requirements:

NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent) – essential.
Minimum 3 years’ experience managing a supported living or residential care service.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with social workers, commissioners, and other professionals.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to create a positive, supportive environment.
Genuine passion for supporting people with learning disabilities to lead fulfilling lives.
